"Space Watchers All Together (SWAT)" is a dynamic, modern space researches group of astronomers, astrophysicist, engineers, and scientist and those who solely concentrate towards cutting-edge space sience research. SWAT scholarship provide a stimulating intellectual environment - the ideal surroundings for learning and discovery.

Established in October 2004, SWAT played a key role in the history of the modern Indian Space Industry and today it plays a leading part in shaping India's future. As India forges a new identity through relationships with international partners, the SWAT will adopt an increasingly international outlook.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” - Albert Einstein.

Universe is massive wide influx of information with many arguments surrounding it. So to manage such huge information it need dedicated research team to revel more from this existing universe and planetary system. More than half of the current researchers and educators population is engaged in astronomy research. Each of the team at the SWAT has its own dedicated theory with the explicit task to support and enhance project in hand.

The SWAT is committed to maintaining a high level of research activity, to commercializing intellectual property arising from its research programs, and to further developing its collaborative links with industry and commerce, and with educational and research institutions internationally.

Letter by Avinash Bhoknal (Colaboration Incharge, Calix Paan Space Research Organization)

Recently Galileo Galilei's home country Italy was honored to submit The United Nations Resolution. It gained full support of the General Assembly's Second Committee. The International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA 2009) is an initiative by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and UNESCO.

On this occasion and a small step towards globalization we are glad to colaborate Calix Paan Space Research Organization (Ltd), United Kingdom with India based space science research's team named "Space Watchers All Together (SWAT)".

SWAT has very remarkable impact of space science and very fast emerging research group from India. Organization small or big is never the issue, the key to success comes from the ability to put forward our thoughts and ideas, hence Calix Paan together with SWAT hope to see India into Space race ahead to come.

The International Year of Astronomy 2009 is a global effort initiated by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and UNESCO to help the citizens of the world rediscover their place in the Universe through the day- and night-time sky, and thereby engage a personal sense of wonder and discovery.

Everyone should realise the impact of astronomy and other fundamental sciences on our daily lives, and understand how scientific knowledge can contribute to a more equitable and peaceful society. IYA2009 activities are taking place locally, nationally, regionally and internationally. National Nodes in each country are running activities throughout 2009 which will establish collaborations between professional and amateur astronomers, science centres and science communicators.

To coordinate this huge global programme and to provide an important resource for the participating countries, the IAU established a central Secretariat and an IYA2009 website (www.astronomy2009.org) as the principal IYA2009 resource for public, professionals and media alike

The International Year of Astronomy 2009 is endorsed by the United Nations and the International Council of Science (ICSU).
